Keystone Exams

We will be administering the Keystone exams the first two weeks in December. The exam schedule for the 2025 Winter Keystones will be:
Biology: 12/3 & 12/4
English Literature: 12/8 & 12/9
Algebra I: 12/10 & 12/11
The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to evaluate proficiency in academic content. Students must demonstrate proficiency on the Algebra I, Literature, and Biology Keystone Exams to graduate or fulfill one of the other pathways provided to graduate. Flexible Instructional Days (FID) & Inclement Weather Schedules

During the 2025-2026 school year, Wyomissing Area School District will be utilizing Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs), which may be used in place of a school day that would otherwise be canceled because of inclement weather or another emergency situation.
On an FID, students will complete learning activities and assignments provided by their teachers at home. The district has been approved to use up to a maximum of five (5) FIDs for this school year. Students will receive assignments for each subject that would have originally taken place during a regular school day. For information on Flexible Instructional Days, please view the link here.
In the event of an FID, all students must:
Log into each of their classes on Schoology – complete and submit the posted assignment.
Complete the attendance quiz in each of their classes, and Homeroom, on Schoology by 2:35 p.m.
There is no need to log in to any scheduled study halls.
As we approach the winter months, make a note of the following inclement weather schedules (2- & 3-hour delays) -view link to School Information and click ‘Bell Schedule’.

Winter Break

As we look ahead to the Winter break this year, we all welcome the opportunity for our students, staff, and school community to relax and spend some much-needed time with their families. To help our students and staff enjoy the holiday break, students will not have any assigned work during the break. Please enjoy this time with your families and loved ones.

Featured Faculty Award

🎉 Celebrating Excellence: Congratulations to Mr. Allen! 🎉

We are thrilled to recognize Mr. Allen as this month’s Featured Faculty Award Recipient and proud honoree of the Spartan Shield, presented by the High School Student Council. This distinguished award is given each month to a Wyomissing JSHS faculty member, based on nominations from our student body.

For over 20+ years, Mr. Allen has inspired students as a member of the WAJSHS Social Studies Department, had previously coached Track & Field, Indoor Track, JH Girls Soccer and is curently a volunteer Golf coach. Beyond the classroom and athletic field, he has contributed to the broader educational community as a published author exemplifying the spirit of lifelong learning and leadership.

Please join us in celebrating Mr. Allen’s remarkable dedication, his lasting impact, and the positive difference he continues to make in the Wyomissing Area JSHS community!
